Two dead after Baton Rouge shooting near Scenic Highway

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting that took place on Townsley Street near Scenic Highway.

Joseph Profit, 48, and Robin Hayes, 52, were shot at around 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27. Baton Rouge police said Profit was had multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene while Hayes died later at a local hospital.
