Teen stabbed to death outside school gate named as 16-year-old arrested

A 16-year-old student fatally stabbed outside his school has been named today.

 

Renell Charles was the 150th teenager to be murdered in London since Sadiq Khan was elected Mayor seven years ago was attacked in the Walthamstow area, where he was a pupil, just after 4pm on Friday.

Police say a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of Renell’s murder after attending an east London police station In the early hours of Sunday. He remains in custody.
