Harvey, state police investigate shooting death, man in custody
Harvey police said Friday a 26-year-old man is in custody after he confessed to police that he shot his boyfriend to death and buried the body in the yard of an abandoned home.
Police said they are working with state police in the investigation, and said the man made the confession to police after being stopped Thursday afternoon for an outstanding warrant issued by Chicago police.
Police said they later found the body of an unidentified man at an address in the 15800 block of Myrtle Avenue.
Charges have not been filed against the man in custody believed to be involved in the domestic dispute, and a weapon believed to have been used has been recovered, police said.
