The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to MySA that the man who was shot and killed inside a barber shop at North Star Mall on Sunday, June 4, has been identified as 33-year-old Adam Glass.

Glass was getting his hair cut when two individuals walked in and shot him. The San Antonio Police Department responded to calls of a shooting in progress around 3 p.m. on Sunday. Glass was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. After the shooting, the individuals fled the scene and officers couldn’t locate them after canvassing the area, according to Public Information Officer Nick Soliz.

No one else was injured in the shooting and rumors of an active shooter were dismissed. Investigators believe it was a targeted attack on Glass given the nature of the incident. MySA reached out to SAPD for an update on the shooting and informed us that the investigation was still ongoing.

North Star Mall went into lockdown as a result of the shooting and announced it would be closed for the rest of the day. However, North Star Mall did confirm it would operate for normal business hours on Monday, June 5.

The medical examiner’s office is unsure if an autopsy has been performed yet and Glass’ exact cause of death is still unknown.
