Police investigating fatal shooting on GR’s SW side

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Police Department is at the scene of shooting where one woman has died.

Officers were called on reports of shots fired at 3:20 p.m. in the area of Commerce Avenue SW. When they arrived, they located one woman who was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s still unknown what led to the shooting, or if any suspects are in custody.

Her identity is not being released at this time. Officers are still on scene investigating.
