Victims Identified In Johnston Shooting
JOHNSTON, RI — The three victims have been identified after a shooting in Johnston Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
The suspect, identified as 52-year-old James Harrison, was shot to death by police after a chase and standoff on Plainfield Pike, the outlet reported. One of the deceased victims was identified Thursday as the suspect’s mother, 83-year-old Janet Harrison, who lived with him on Ligian Court, according to WPRI.
Also dead is 44-year-old Thomas “TJ” May, who lives next door to Harrison, the outlet reported. May’s 15-year-old daughter was also shot but survived, the outlet reported.
May and Harrison had been fatally shot by the time police arrived at the scene around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Johnston police Chief Mark Vieira said Thursday, according to the Providence Journal.
