One dead in Friday night shooting in Portland’s Portsmouth Neighborhood

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Police are investigating a shooting Friday night in the Portsmouth Neighborhood.

At 11:30 p.m., officers from North Precinct responded to a shooting call in the 7600 block of North Portsmouth Avenue and when they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say the man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
