Person critically injured in shooting at Salt Lake City home

One person was critically injured in a shooting at a Salt Lake City home Wednesday afternoon.

The home is located near 1600 West 500

South in the Poplar Grove area.

Police say they are working with the Salt Lake City School District to ensure nearby schools are safe, although the shooting does not appear to be related to any nearby school.

Edison Elementary School is in the same area as the shooting location.
