Cranebrook, Ashley Gaddie: Man wanted for alleged murder of Dannielle Finlay-Jones faced five AVOs

A tattooed man wanted for the alleged murder of a teacher he met on a dating app has had a series of restraining orders issued against him by several women over the past five years.
Police have launched a manhunt for Ashley Gaddie, 33, after his new date Dannielle Finlay-Jones, 31, was found dead with serious head injuries at a friend’s house in Cranebrook in western Sydney on Sunday afternoon.
Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Gaddie has been the subject of five arrest warrants, issued by five different women between 2017 and 2022.
Before he disappeared, Gaddie was also currently under court supervision for strangling one of the women on the NSW south coast in 2020, according to Milton local court records.
He was convicted on December 2 last year and slapped with two years of community service plus 200 hours of community service.
It is understood that Ms Finlay-Jones and Gaddie, who were online for the first time earlier this month, met at a pub in nearby Marsden Park on Saturday night before returning to the Cranebrook home in the early hours of the morning.

Her body was found eight hours later by distraught friends.
A manhunt has so far failed to find Gaddie, with a photo of the heavily tattooed suspect released Tuesday morning.
Gaddie is described as white in appearance, about six feet tall, muscular, with blue eyes and a bald head and tattoos covering both of his arms.
He is known to frequent Five Dock, Penrith and Mt Druitt.
Police believe Ms Finlay-Jones spent Saturday night with Gaddie at The Marsden Brewhouse, in Marsden Park, north-west Sydeny, where she introduced him to her friends.
In the early hours of Sunday, she is said to have returned to the property with the man.
Police believe she died of a serious head injury between that time and mid-morning.
She was later discovered by friends who went to look when the couple planned to wake up, around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The police made extensive inquiries, but were unable to find Gaddie

According to social media, Ms. Finlay-Jones was a support officer in the NSW Department of Education and was the director of women’s football.
She was also coordinator of Ramsgate RSL Football Club and spoke on behalf of the club in videos on their social media pages promoting women’s sport.
A friend said Mrs Finlay-Jones was an ‘incredible person inside and out’.
“She is cherished by all who knew her and words cannot describe the shock this has happened to,” she told Daily Mail Australia.
“She didn’t deserve this and will be sorely missed.”

Friends came to the house to pick up two dogs that had been left there
The crime scene was closed off from prying eyes on Tuesday by the police who guarded the house.
Neighbors revealed that forensic experts searched the area for clues on Monday, with the search also including neighboring properties where vehicles were closely checked for fingerprints.
A neighbor across the street from the grisly crime scene revealed that the home’s owner had only moved in in recent months, but had been hosting regular Saturday night parties with small groups of friends.
“We often saw him having parties with maybe two or three cars and about 10 people,” said the neighbor, who declined to name her.
‘It wasn’t loud parties, just gatherings of friends, but he seemed like a quiet type when we said hello on the street.

“We were at a family gathering over the weekend so we weren’t there when it happened, but it gave us a chill. We’re going to get cameras now to at least keep an eye on the front of the house.’
The detective would also review video footage from a nearby Shell gas station on Cranebrook Crossroads to see if prime suspect Ashley Geddie was apprehended on the night of the murder.
Detectives from the Homicide Squad and forensic teams were seen on Monday searching the house for evidence and taking away the evidence in brown paper bags.
A forensic team paid special attention to a torn screen at the front of the house.
A neighbor told Daily Mail Australia she was shocked by the incident as the area is typically quiet.
“It’s devastating. Just very sad,’ she said.
