Accused Murderer, Shooting Suspect Both Out On Bail Arrested During Alleged Gun Deal In Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (MNPD) – For the second time this past week, an accused murderer free on bond has been rearrested, this time as part of a Thursday night gun and drug investigation. Yet another individual, free on bond on charges that allege he shot three teenagers during a June 2021 robbery in the parking lot of a Brick Church Pike motel, has also been rearrested in the same Thursday case.

On Thursday evening, undercover TITANS (The Investigative Team Addressing Neighborhood Shootings) detectives were conducting surveillance near the intersection of Sylvan and S. 7th Streets in the Cayce community when they saw accused murderer Timothy Frazier, 19, meet with Davion Buford, 17, who is accused in the Brick Church Pike motel shooting case. The two were handling an AR style rifle. This took place in the area of four vehicles that were believed to be involved in gun and drug transactions. Detectives moved in and took both Frazier and Buford into custody. Search warrants were obtained for the four vehicles. Those searches yielded 11 guns, four of which were reported stolen. One of the stolen weapons was equipped with a switch to make it fully automatic. Also found were four pounds of marijuana, 15 grams of cocaine and several pills.

Frazier is prohibited from possessing firearms due to his bond conditions. He was free on $125,000 bail and awaiting trial for the October 14, 2018 fatal shooting of Brandon Adams, 18, in the parking lot of McGavock High School. He is facing charges of criminal homicide, attempted criminal homicide, and two counts of especially aggravated robbery in that case. He was charged last night with violating his bond conditions. At the Police Department’s request, the United States Attorney’s Office Thursday night immediately agreed to prosecute Frazier for firearms violations. A federal hold was placed against Frazier, making him ineligible to post bond.
