Magnitude 3.0 Earthquake Felt Along Washington-Oregon Border

A magnitude 3.0 earthquake shook parts of the Washington-Oregon border Thursday morning, October 22, with shaking reported in Vancouver, Battle Ground and Salmon Creek in Washington, and St. Helens in Oregon.

The earthquake struck at about 7:25 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of roughly 14.6 miles, according to reports citing the U.S. Geological Survey.

More than 50 people submitted reports to the USGS saying they felt the quake. Reported shaking was described as weak or light.
