Two people killed after Piper Cub crashes in Nabesna area, troopers say

Two people are dead following a plane crash in the Nabesna area.

Alaska State Troopers say they received a report of the fatal crash around 7:50 Thursday evening.

A Piper Cub carrying two people crashed after taking off from a dirt airstrip.

Troopers say the names of the victims will be released after their families are notified.
