Primary school goes into lockdown after nearby stabbing report turns out to be a false alarm

A primary school was placed under lockdown after reports of a nearby stabbing, which later turned out to be a false alarm.

Children at Radcliffe Primary School in Bury were kept indoors this afternoon (Friday) as a 'precautionary measure' following reports of a knife attack.

It's thought parents were informed of the situation through the school's messaging service around 3pm. A GMP spokesperson said no stabbing had taken place.
