Police: Stabbing suspect arrested after standoff with Petaluma SWAT team

A Penngrove man wanted in connection with a July assault in Petaluma was arrested at his home following a several-hour standoff with SWAT team officers, the Petaluma Police Department announced this week.

The standoff and arrest, which happened Sept.

7, was the culmination of a weeks-long investigation following a stabbing in Petaluma that occurred a little before noon on Friday, July 24.

That’s when authorities received a 911 call “regarding a fight in progress on the 100 block of Eastside Circle.
