Travis Kelce Identified as Victim in $35 Million Ponzi Scheme

NFL star Travis Kelce has been identified as one of the victims of a Ponzi scheme that collected more than $35 million from investors, according to federal prosecutors.
Siddharth Jawahar, 38, pleaded guilty to three counts of wire fraud and was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison. He was also ordered to pay more than $31 million in restitution.
Prosecutors said Jawahar collected tens of millions of dollars from investors but invested only about $10 million of the money.
The remaining funds were allegedly used to repay earlier investors and finance an extravagant lifestyle that included private jets, luxury hotels and expensive outings.
Kelce’s total financial losses from the scheme have not been publicly disclosed.
