18-year-old arrested in connection with deadly Dobson Place Apartments shooting: NCPD

Now weeks later, police have charged Douglas with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
An 18-year-old from Ladson was arrested Tuesday in connection with a late-August shooting that killed one person and injured another, according to the North Charleston Police Department.
Kevin Bernard Douglas Jr. was apprehended with the help of the U.S. Marshals following what law enforcement described as a "comprehensive investigation." This case starts on Aug.
31, when officers were called to Dobson Place Apartments around 9 p.m., where they found two people with gunshot wounds.
One of the victims, later identified as 19-year-old Gevione Palmer, was pronounced dead, while the other person injured was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
