SPD: Shreveport Woman Arrested for Second-Degree Murder After Fatal Stabbing

Detectives executed a search warrant at the home, and Crime Scene Investigators collected multiple items of evidentiary value. Mitchell was later found and interviewed by SPD Detectives.

Following the investigation, she was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. She was transported to the Shreveport City Jail for booking.

Mitchell was also previously arrested in 2024 for domestic abuse battery with a dangerous weapon and later pleaded guilty to domestic abuse battery.
