Two suspects arrested over murder of Imo commissioner’s police orderly

The Imo State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a police inspector attached to the residence of the state Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Chief Rex Anunobi, in New Owerri, Owerri.

The development came on Tuesday as detectives intensified investigation into the killing and launched a manhunt for an alleged mastermind believed to be behind the attack.

The command’s spokesman, Henry Okoye, who confirmed the arrests to The Nation, said the suspects were apprehended after police operatives visited the scene and commenced investigation following the discovery of the inspector’s lifeless body.

“Yes, we have launched a full investigation. In fact, we have arrested some suspects.
