One dead, multiple injured in shooting on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Albany, Georgia

One person is dead and several others are hospitalized following a shooting late Sunday night in Albany.

Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler confirmed that officials were called to the scene around 10:57 p.m. in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Jr.

Drive, near the intersection of Johnny W. Williams Road.

According to Fowler, one victim—believed to be a male—was pronounced dead at the scene from apparent gunshot wounds.
