KJ Biermann Granted $200,000 Bond After 7-Count Felony Indictment in Georgia

Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., the 15-year-old son of reality television star Kim Zolciak and former NFL player Kroy Biermann, has been granted a $200,000 bond in Georgia after being indicted on seven felony charges connected to an alleged sexual assault involving a female classmate.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Melynee Leftridge approved the bond following a hearing Friday, imposing strict restrictions on Biermann as the criminal case moves forward.

KJ Biermann faces seven felony charges

Biermann was indicted September 3 on charges including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment and multiple counts of sexual battery involving a child under 16.

The charges stem from an alleged April 23 incident at a Life Time fitness facility in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Biermann was 14 at the time of the alleged incident and was arrested in August.

His attorneys have maintained his innocence and said he intends to plead not guilty.

Judge imposes strict conditions for release

Under the court’s bond order, Biermann must remain at his mother’s home and wear a GPS ankle monitor.

He must also attend school virtually, surrender his passport and is prohibited from using a cellphone or social media.

The court barred him from contacting the alleged victim and imposed restrictions on his contact with other minors.

Prosecutors reveal additional allegations

During the bond hearing, prosecutors also raised separate allegations involving material investigators said they discovered on Biermann’s phone involving another minor.

Biermann’s attorney disputed the prosecution’s characterization of the earlier matter and said it presented a misleading picture of what occurred.

No determination of guilt has been made in the current criminal case.

Defense seeks juvenile court transfer

Biermann’s legal team has asked for the case to be transferred from adult court to juvenile court, arguing that his age and development should be considered.

His arraignment is scheduled for October 14, when his attorneys say he is expected to enter not-guilty pleas to the charges.
