UPDATE: Miami Boeing 767 Pilots Considered Go-Around After Touchdown, NTSB Says

Amazon貨物機がオーバーラン…一部炎上 5人死亡 気象条件が突然悪化した可能性も

New evidence from the fatal Miami Boeing 767 crash suggests the pilots considered attempting a go-around after the aircraft had already touched down, according to the National Transportation Safety Board.

Flight data showed the throttles were advanced moments after landing, indicating a possible attempt to take off again. The throttles were then returned to idle and the brakes were reapplied.

Speed Brakes and Thrust Reversers Not Deployed

Investigators said the aircraft’s speed brakes and thrust reversers were not deployed during the landing sequence.

The Amazon Prime Air cargo plane, operated by 21 Air, continued beyond the runway and struck two ground vehicles before coming to a stop approximately 1,300 feet past the runway.

Five people were killed and five others were injured in the crash at Miami International Airport.

NTSB Investigation Continues

The NTSB is examining the flight-data recorder, cockpit-voice recorder, aircraft systems, weather conditions and actions taken by the pilots during the final moments.

Investigators are expected to interview the flight crew before releasing additional information from the cockpit recording.
