LPD: Man arrested after telling sergeant he’d see him ‘on the street’

A man was arrested after allegedly threatening a police sergeant during a traffic stop, according to the Laredo Police Department.
Arrest and charges
A sergeant conducted a traffic stop at about 10:23 p.m. Sept.
8 on a red 2021 Chevrolet Silverado for a traffic violation in the 2200 block of South U.S. 83.
The driver was identified as 43-year-old Diego Pequeno, police said.
Pequeno refused to step out of the vehicle and told the sergeant he would see him “on the street,” according to police.
Jail records show Pequeno was booked into Webb County Jail on Sept.
No bond information was listed, and he remained held as of Wednesday afternoon.
Charges and court proceedings
9 and charged with retaliation, a third-degree felony, and resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor.
