Homeland Security special agent arrested on rape, sodomy charges

FORT POLICE DEPARTMENT, Alabama — MOBILE, Ala. (WALA/Gray News) – A Homeland Security Investigations special agent was arrested on multiple charges, including rape and sexual abuse.

Arrest and charges

The Spanish Fort Police Department in Alabama said that Kent Blacklidge turned himself in to the Baldwin County Jail on Sept. 5.

Officers confirmed his status as a special agent, but said he was placed on administrative leave at the start of the investigation.

Charges and court proceedings

He was charged with multiple counts of rape, sodomy, sexual abuse and more.

Police did not say what started the investigation, but more information is expected to be released within the coming days.
