More Counties Impacted By Measles Outbreak

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is now reporting 37 counties have been impacted by the measles outbreak.

Cases and health response

The total amount of cases in the Commonwealth are now at 577 and total hospitalizations are 98.

There have still on only been two reported deaths associated with measles.

Daily numbers will fluctuate as the disease can take weeks before symptoms begin to show.

To avoid hospitalization health officials are advising residents to be fully vaccinated with the MMR vaccine.
