Chicago, Illinois shooting, today: 3 shot in Lawndale in the 600-block of Independence Boulevard, police say

CHICAGO, Illinois — CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police are investigating a triple shooting on the city's West Side on Sunday morning.

The shooting happened at about 7:11 a.m. in the 600-block of South Independence Boulevard, according to police.

Three people were outside when two people drove up and started shooting. Police said the suspects drove off in an unknown location.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the body; he was taken to Sinai hospital in critical condition.
