Conoray Lawantara Arrested After Fatal North Palm Drive Stabbing in Beverly Hills, California

BEVERLY HILLS, California — Conoray Lawantara, 19, has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was fatally stabbed during an altercation in an alley on North Palm Drive, police announced late Monday.

The victim’s identity has not been released.

Fatal Alley Stabbing

Officers responded at approximately 11:40 p.m. Sunday to the 400 block of North Palm Drive, just south of Beverly Boulevard, following reports of an altercation involving two men.

Police found a man suffering from a neck wound. He received emergency treatment before being transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators said one of the two men produced a knife and a stabbing occurred. Authorities have not disclosed what led to the confrontation.

Suspect Remains Hospitalized

Lawantara, a Beverly Hills resident, was also injured and taken to a hospital.

Detectives later arrested him on suspicion of murder based on evidence gathered during the investigation. His arraignment will be scheduled after he leaves the hospital.

Police described the stabbing as an isolated incident and said no other participants were involved.
