Richland County gas station stabbing leaves Madison, Wisconsin man hospitalized

MADISON, Wisconsin — LONE ROCK, Wis. — A 35-year-old Lone Rock man was arrested Sunday after authorities said he stabbed a Madison man at a Shell gas station in Lone Rock.
Deputies from the Sauk and Richland County sheriff’s offices responded to the Shell station on U.S. Highway 14 shortly after noon Sunday after receiving a report of a stabbing.
Witnesses detained the suspect until deputies arrived, authorities said. Law enforcement took the man, identified by investigators, into custody.
He is facing a tentative attempted first-degree homicide charge. The 42-year-old victim suffered multiple knife wounds.
