West valley: Las Vegas, Nevada police shooting Under Investigation

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Authorities are responding to a police shooting in the west Las Vegas valley Friday morning.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said the incident began at about 5:16 a.m. in the 6300 block of W.

Charleston Boulevard, between Jones Boulevard and Torrey Pines Drive near the College of Southern Nevada campus. No officers were injured, according to LVMPD.

No further details have been disclosed. The public is urged to avoid the area because of the heavy police presence.
