Man dies after shooting in Hopkinsville, Kentucky

HOPKINSVILLE, Kentucky — HOPKINSVILLE, KY. (WSMV) – The Hopkinsville Police Department (HPD) is investigating a fatal shooting that left a man dead in Hopkinsville.

Just before 3 a.m. on Wednesday, officers in Hopkinsville responded to the 100 block of Koffman Drive after receiving reports that a person had been shot.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Hopkinsville emergency personnel provided lifesaving efforts as they took the man to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
