LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A St. Louis man faces a murder charge after police said he shot and killed a man on the victim’s porch in the Walnut Park West neighborhood.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting occurred at Henderson-Murphy’s home on Hiller Place around 11:40 p.m.

Officers found Henderson-Murphy on the porch with multiple gunshot wounds to his legs, abdomen and right shoulder.

He was also seen on the back porch on the Ring camera at the victim’s back door.

Shooting investigation

Walter Fowler, 29, faces charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the shooting death of Dwayne Henderson-Murphy, 34, on Aug.

4, according to court records.

A probable cause statement said phone records placed Fowler at or near the crime scene more than once that day, including at the time of the shooting.
