Three Workers Killed in Explosion at Baniyas Power Plant in Syria

Three workers were killed Tuesday when a hydrogen compressor exploded at the Baniyas Thermal Power Plant in Syria’s Tartous province.

The explosion occurred inside a maintenance unit while work was underway at the facility.

The Tartous Health Directorate said Baniyas Hospital received the bodies of three workers following the explosion.
