Florida Keys to see continued showers and thunderstorms through Friday

KEY WEST, Fla. — Elevated chances of showers and thunderstorms will continue across the Florida Keys on Thursday and Friday, before conditions return to more typical summer weather this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with about a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the stronger storms could produce gusty winds, especially near heavier downpours.
Light to gentle easterly winds of 5–10 mph are expected, increasing to around 10 mph later in the day, while overnight temperatures will remain in the lower 80s.
Residents and visitors are advised to monitor the weather and seek shelter if thunderstorms develop.
