Video: Man Arrested, Weapons Cache Seized After ‘Escalating Behavior’ at Sacramento School

A man is in custody after Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies arrested him and seized a large weapons cache following what officials described as “escalating behavior” on school grounds.

Deputies were called after school staff reported the man acting increasingly erratic near the campus. Authorities say he had no legitimate reason to be there and had been spotted in the area multiple times over the past several days.

When deputies confronted him, he was detained without incident. A subsequent search of his vehicle and residence uncovered multiple firearms, ammunition, and other weapons, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials stressed that there is no ongoing threat to students, teachers, or the surrounding community.

The investigation remains active, and additional charges may be filed pending review by prosecutors.
