A Sydney plane crash on the Northern Beaches has ended in a miracle escape after a Piper Cherokee made an emergency landing at Mona Vale Golf Course. Video from the scene shows the small aircraft resting on the green after coming down around 2pm.

Flight records indicate the plane left Camden about 1pm and was due to land at Wollongong before trouble forced the diversion.

Pilot and Student Survive Sydney Plane Crash

According to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB), there were two men in their 50s on board – a flight instructor and a student pilot. Both survived the Sydney plane crash without serious injury, despite the aircraft coming down in the middle of the golf course.
