Quadruple murder suspect Austin Drummond has been taken into custody by police in Jackson, Tennessee, following a citywide manhunt that had residents on high alert.
Drummond, who was wanted in connection with the slaying of four individuals earlier this week, was apprehended without incident, authorities confirmed late Monday. His arrest comes after an intense search that led officers to the Bridlepath Drive and Saddlebrook Drive area, where residents were advised to shelter in place due to safety concerns.
Police also temporarily blocked off Pleasant Plains Road and Country Club Lane, further indicating the seriousness of the situation. Investigators have not yet released details about how Drummond was located or whether he had accomplices.
