A tragic incident unfolded Saturday night in Harvey, Illinois, as a Harvey house party shooting left seven people injured, including a 4-year-old boy, and one suspect dead.
The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. in the 14400 block of Des Plaines Street during a house party. According to city officials, two individuals arrived at the scene and opened fire on the partygoers.
However, one attendee, who was legally carrying a concealed firearm, returned fire—killing one of the suspects and injuring the other. The wounded suspect is currently in stable condition and under police custody at a nearby hospital.

Among the five non-suspect victims was a 4-year-old boy, who is now in stable condition. All victims are reported to be receiving treatment, and no fatalities have been reported among them.
