On Saturday afternoon, a motorist drove into a crowd in Passau, Bavaria, southern Germany, police reported to dpa.
The driver, a 48-year-old man in a Mercedes, was detained, per Passauer Neue Presse.
Police have not ruled out a deliberate act, dpa stated.
