FAA Releases Preliminary Report on Long Island Sound Plane Crash

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued its preliminary report after a small plane crashed into Long Island Sound on Sunday morning.
According to the report, the aircraft experienced engine issues roughly 10 minutes after departing from Sikorsky Airport, leading to an emergency ditch into the water near Branford, Connecticut.
Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim praised the swift response of emergency teams, calling it “a miracle” that both the pilot and passenger were rescued safely, sustaining only minor injuries.
