Seven Year-Old Shot While Sleeping in Fort Wayne Home — Police Investigating

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) — A 7-year-old child is recovering after being shot multiple times while sleeping inside a home early Wednesday morning on Fort Wayne’s southeast side.

📍 The shooting occurred around 2:49 a.m. on Oliver Street, just south of East Rudisill Boulevard.

According to police, someone fired into the house, hitting the child. Medics rushed the victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The child remains in stable condition.
