PHOTO: UW-Platteville Confirms Deaths of Kelsie Martin and Hallie Helms, Both 22, in Wilgus Hall Incident

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Chancellor’s Office confirmed late Monday night that two students died during an emergency incident that occurred earlier in the day at Wilgus Hall, a student residence on campus.

The students have been identified as Kelsie Martin, 22, of Beloit, and Hallie Helms, 22, of Baraboo. The confirmation came shortly after 11:20 p.m. in an official statement issued by the university.
