VIDEO: A major forest fire has broken out in parts of southern New Jersey

Watch as residents in nearby towns scramble to evacuate while numerous law enforcement and emergency agencies respond to a rapidly spreading wildfire near the New Jersey shore.

The blaze has forced officials to order evacuations and shut down portions of the Garden State Parkway, particularly near Waretown and Forked River New Jersey.

More than 13,000 people are currently without power. Thick smoke and towering flames are visible from miles away the fire has already scorched over 3,200 acres and remains 5% contained, The Video:
