Three dead after medical helicopter crashes near Jackson, Mississippi

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT/Gray News) – Officials in Mississippi say ‘there are fatalities’ after a medical helicopter crashed in Madison County.

First responders were called to the site of the crash near the Natchez Trace, north of Highway 43, shortly before 1 p.m.

A Madison County spokesperson confirmed deaths from the crash, saying, “We are on the scene of a medical helicopter crash in a heavily wooded area south of the Natchez Trace and North of Pipeline Road. There are fatalities. We are now awaiting the arrival from the FAA. Any other information should come from them.”
