I’m CHAD!” The post, captioned “Early Voting Starts Today! No hanging chads here,” was intended to reference the infamous “hanging chad” voting issues of the 2000 presidential election. However, the image struck a nerve, with many critics pointing out that the noose carries a dark historical symbolism associated with violence and racial injustice.
