Philadelphia Police Investigate Triple Shooting in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a triple shooting that left two teens and a man injured in North Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 2:04 AM, Philadelphia Police officers responded to a report of a person with a gun on the 1900 block of West Allegheny Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered three gunshot victims.
The victims, two juveniles and one adult, were transported to Temple University Hospital by police. The first victim, a 15-year-old male, suffered a gunshot wound to his right foot. The second victim, a 17-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to his right thigh. The third victim, a 44-year-old male, was struck in the left buttocks. All three victims were listed in stable condition at the time of the incident.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the two juvenile victims were walking westbound on Allegheny Avenue when they were confronted by a group of juveniles walking eastbound. Shots were fired, striking the 15-year-old in the foot and the 17-year-old in the thigh. The 44-year-old male, who was not associated with either group, was struck by a stray bullet.
