At least eleven people were killed after a highway bridge partially collapsed in Shangluo City located in Zhashui County in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, Xinhua and CGTN reported, citing local authorities.

The bridge collapsed at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Friday due to a sudden downpour and flash floods. As of 10 a.m. on Saturday (UTC+8), rescue teams had recovered five vehicles that had fallen into the river with rescue operations underway. VIDEO:
