MINNEAPOLIS: Multi-victim shooting near E. Franklin Ave. & 17th Ave. S. – An officer in the area reported hearing a volley of shots and a group of people running, then shortly after located at least four gunshot wound victims. CPR was underway and one victim has been reported deceased on scene. Firefighters and medics located two additional gunshot wound victims approximately two blocks from the original shooting scene. One of those victims was reported to have a gunshot wound to the foot.
Both directions of Franklin Ave. from 15th Ave. S. to Cedar Ave. S. will be closed as the Hennepin County Crime Lab arrives on scene to investigate.
