Developing: ACTIVE SHOOTER ALERT – Southern Utah University in Cedar City is currently in lockdown after an active shooter alert was issued.

CEDAR CITY, Utah — Southern Utah University went on lockdown Thursday morning after a “suspicious phone call” about an active shooter. The SUU website said anyone on campus should find a room to lock themselves into.

The Iron County School District said all of its schools in Cedar City were on secure action due to the situation at SUU.
