Pontoon Beach authorities are investigating after a man was hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds following a break-in at a home on Kathy Drive.

Police say they received reports of a break-in during the early morning hours of Wednesday. Responding officers found a 28-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds during the home invasion.

The police chief referred to this as a “harrowing home invasion.”
