Police officer in stable condition after being shot in Memphis, Tennessee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A Memphis Police officer was shot multiple times during a traffic stop on I-240 early Friday morning, according to Interim Memphis Police Chief C.J. Davis. 

During a briefing outside Regional One Davis said the officer is in critical but stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene in a Black Nissan, and remains at large.
