Joliet Shooting Victim Fights For His Life After Being Shot On Cagwin

While most residents of the city were asleep, a shooting happened on the city’s near west side, South Cagwin Street and Washington Street. Officers found the 23-year-old victim on a porch of a nearby house. He sustained a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department announced that a 23-year-old man is in serious condition at the hospital after being shot around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The shooting victim was taken to Ascension St Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department in serious condition. An investigation was launched, and detectives and officers canvassed the neighborhood.
